Optional enhancements transform any reproduction into a distinctive and unique work of art. By request, we offer the hand embellishment of artwork adding impasto, swarovsky crystals or a serigraph process to create depth and dimension to any selection.
At Art On Giclée we express the brilliance of a multi-dimensional universe through elegant dimensional enhancements to our artwork. Swarovski crystals bring life to each piece as they flow through an embellishment of impasto and dance with the light. Distinctive enhancements from pearls to beads have been selected for each artwork to express its unique brilliance.
The word serigraph was formed from the Latin word seri (meaning silk) and the
Greek word graphos (meaning to draw). A print made using a stencil process in which an image or design is superimposed on a very fine mesh screen and printing ink is squeegeed onto the printing surface through the area of the screen that is not covered by the stencil. Water-based or oil-based paint is squeezed or brushed through the screen, creating the image on the paper below.
A Mix Media serigraph is created when each color in an image is identified by the human eye, and its pattern separated and cut into stencils
by hand. A hand-pulled serigraph is created when the artist themselves applies the ink to the substrate, using a hand-pulled squeegee, and removes it from the printing table manually.
